There is a lot to consider when entering the world of marijuana cultivation. You might think, "Growing weed is easy. I mean, it's a weed. It is in the name". Growing marijuana doesn't have to be difficult, but perfecting it and getting a good crop size can be difficult.

This article will cover both indoor and outdoor growing. There will be books for advanced growers, as well as beginners. I will even include a free ebook at the end. As I stated, cannabis cultivation can be super hard but follow the steps, and it will make life easier.

Beginner Friendly Books

Marijuana Grower's Handbook

This is Amazon's Nr 1 bestseller in the Green Business Category for a reason. As the official coursebook at Oaksterdam cannabis university, you can expect to be taught by nothing but experienced growers and professionals. After reading this, you can expect nothing but outstanding marijuana harvest.

It is written by the well know horticulturist and cannabis activist Ed Rosenthal. This guy might be one of the biggest reasons for you to be smoking good shit today. The marijuana grower's handbook came out in 1985 and has been used to actually educate people on the matter ever since.

Fun fact; Ed Rosenthal has lit up with Snoop Dogg. That has to count for something. The book is packed with 510 pages, by the way. So let the knowledge train arrive.

Available on Kindle or Paperback at Amazon.com for only $14.79 or $36.78

The Sinsemilla Technique

This is a great read or a great guide on how to grow cannabis. An absolute early classic, written by Kayo in 1992. It covers mostly the modern cultivation method that revolutionized how we grow cannabis. Making it better and stronger.

The Sinsemilla technique is all about creating bigger and stickier flowers/buds when growing unpollinated female cannabis plants. This is the most efficient technology and standard way of growing cannabis and will give you a comprehensive guide about the basics and the foundations needed to grow seedless weed flowers, using all the essential techniques.

The book itself is packed with charts, information, pictures, and much more. It totals 134 pages and is by far one of the best marijuana grow books.

Available on Amazon for $20.5.

The Essential Cannabis Book

This is less a book on growing cannabis but more a book about the cannabis industry. A book about what the cannabis plant can do for us. The positives it can provide.

Do you know what marijuana horticulture is? Neither did I, but it's the art of cultivating plants in gardens to produce food or medicinal ingredients. Or to relax and comfort yourself. This plant is proof that magical true living organics exist. We should treat it as such.

To be an expert grower, to be the king of weed growers. You have to be able to connect with the plant and know about what it can do for us human beings.

Anyone curious about marijuana can read this book and enjoy themselves. It was written by Rob Mejia in 2018 and comes in at 184 pages.

Available on Amazon (Paperback) for $17.73

Intermediate Friendly Books

The Cannabis Grow Bible 3 gen.

The reason this is the first book in my intermediate category is that this book truly is a bible. It has all the information you need about growing weed. This is The Cannabis Grow Bible. Anyone who knows anything about marijuana plants has probably read this book several times.

In comparison to the 2 generation, the third generation has 200 more pages of information. This puts it at a whopping 720 pages of information. Written by Greg Green in 2000.

But again, with 720 pages of information, it is hard to get a grasp of it all if you don't know much from previous marijuana growing experiences if you already know some. But if you want to be a master gardener with the green thumb and the whole shebang? You need yourself a bible.

These 720 pages can be yours for $33.79 on Amazon.com.

Cultivating Exceptional Cannabis

DJ Short, an expert grower, has decided to share his secrets on breeding cannabis strains. This is the man who first bred strains like Blueberry, Grapekush, Blue Velvet, Cocoa Kush, and so many more.

Like the expert he is, he focuses solely on indoor growing. And even though some of the topics in genetics and breeding can be difficult to understand, he makes it super digestible, writing about it in a way anyone could understand.

There are also a digestible amount of pages, 102.

If you're not the biggest reader but want the best information about marijuana gardening indoors, this is what I can recommend.

Available for $7.99 or $17.52 on Amazon.com (Kindle and Paperback)

Marijuana Horticulture

This guy, Jorge Cervantes, is the man I want to teach you about growing weed anywhere. Not just growing weed, but exceptional cannabis anywhere (almost). All the way from your closet to a stealthy backyard grow. The marijuana plant is hard to hide, not impossible.

Written by Jorge Cervantes in 2006. It has a total of 464 pages and contains over 1000 photos. If you are a visual learner like me, this works effortlessly.

Cervantes will change the way you grow marijuana forever, and his tips and tricks can truly be a marijuana garden saver. For any gardens in need of a little help. This dude is all about budget growth as well. Even though organic cannabis sounds expensive, it doesn't have to be.

Available for $9.99 or $23.95 on Amazon.com (Kindle and Paperback)

True Living Organics 2 Edition

You must know about the environmental problems our earth faces. If you care about these problems and want to contribute as much (or as little) as possible. True Living Organics is the book for you. It was written by The Rev in 2012. It is a total of 291 pages of eco-friendly material.

This book serves as a specialty book. The book explains the best ways and how to grow organic marijuana. It is the organic marijuana grower's handbook.

Did you know you can use your marijuana harvest not only for smoking but also for organic remedies. Lotions, soap, and so on.

Available for $9.99 or $25.00 on Amazon.com (Kindle and Paperback)

Advanced Books on Cannabis Cultivation

Marijuana: Outdoor Growers Guide

Want to do some outdoor growing? This can be a tad bit more difficult than growing marijuana inside. Inside you control the temperature, and you control the amount of light with your lighting equipment. Grow rooms are made to maximize quality and speed.

This is a book solely focused on how to get your outdoor plants looking just like your inside plants. You may also not have the option to grow indoors.

Written by S. T. Oner in 2010. It has a total of 142 pages and is the only book on this list focusing solely on growing marijuana outside. Growing great marijuana outside.

Available for only $6.08 or $11.49 on Amazon.com. (Kindle and Paperback)

Marijuana Cultivation: Reconsidered

Last but not least. This is the ultimate guide. A book that covers all aspects of growing marijuana as well as focuses on plant physiology and marijuana research.

If you feel like you're at your peak of marijuana growing skills, this is the one last final boss. Written by Red Spear in 2014 and has 367 pages.

It has a lot of up-to-date information, and cannabis enthusiasts will worship the bud you can produce after reading this book.

Available for free with KindleUnlimited or $6.19 without on Amazon.com

Good luck

Starting a cannabis garden can be super fun and super rewarding. I tend a garden at home, not with marijuana plants, but with other herbs, chilies, peppers, and so on. Unfortunately, local laws don't allow me to plant whatever I want.

My point is that growing marijuana (or other stuff) can be just as relaxing and chill as smoking. Greg Green knows this. Ed Rosenthal knows this, and I know this. Everyone's gardening practices are different, but we all do it because we like it.

Medical Marijuana users might want to connect more with the plant that is healing them. Recreational users might want to be able to say, "This is my very own all-natural marijuana".

If you're on a budget, I recommend checking out this guide by RoyalQueenSeeds on how to save money, with both indoors and outdoors growing.

Good luck to all of you!
