Do you need help picking out what to munch on? Are you planning a super chill day but don't know what foods you want? Look no further. This is the best munchie food.

When the munchies hit, we all want to devour food and chill. However, you'll likely not feel so chill if you fill up on only junk food. I have dedicated this guide to stoner snacks you actually want that don't make you feel nauseous afterward.

Of course, I also include heaps of food that shouldn't be consumed in tremendous amounts, but they can.

Remember, don't fill up on just one thing, or overeat any food category for prolonged periods. We love devils' lettuce, love some lettuce as well.

RECIPES ARE LABELED A-F for nutrition, where A is the healthiest and F is unhealthiest. Based solely on my opinion.

Grilled Cheese - C

A classic, truly delicious, and easy snack is the classic grilled cheese. My Goto Recipe is from NatashasKitchen.

stoner snacks

Broken down, this could not be simpler. I do not recommend using homemade bread, no insanely expensive cheeses, three ingredients, and one pan.

Starting off, you want two slices of thickly sliced bread. The choice of bread is completely up to you. I prefer to switch it up between light and dark-styled bread.

The best bread I have ever found (for grilled cheese) is brioche bread. If you ever find some, get it and thank me later.

Next, you want to pick out your choice of cheese. If opting for cheeses that melt poorly, try to combine them with a cheese that melts strongly. NatashasKitchen uses medium cheddar, gouda, and Havarti. Truth be told, any cheese works.

Next is butter. Butter both pieces of bread (one side only) with butter.

Put the cheese between your bread slices and fry until both sides turn golden brown and crispy. Low heat is a key component to perfecting this grilled cheese.

Easy Recipe

  • 2 slices of bread

  • 3 slices of cheese

  • 2 tsp butter

Butter your bread, and put one slice (butter side down) on a low-heat skillet.

Add cheese on top and gently place your second slice of bread (butter side up).

Fry on low heat until crisp and golden on both sides

Enjoy! Melted cheese hits hard.

Tips to make Grilled Cheese+

  • Add ham if you desire

  • Heinz ketchup can spice things up

French Toast - C

If making french toast, I always use the AllRecipes recipe. It's classic and simple with no twists. Pure french toast pleasure.

Again, keeping it simple, use store-bought white bread for easy and great results. We also want this bread to be thickly sliced so it does not break apart completely when we assemble it.

This recipe makes six total slices of french toast, so cut everything in half if you're only one person.

The ingredients we need are

  • 2/3 cups milk

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

  • 1 small pinch of fine sea salt

  • butter to fry

  • 6 slices thick white bread

Our first step is to whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sea salt. Whisk until thoroughly combined.

For our second step, we want to butter a pan slightly. Cast iron pans will require more butter than nonstick options. Set it to medium-high heat.

Step three is to dunk our bread in the egg mixture and let it soak until it can't hold any more liquid. Fry it on your skillet until golden brown, approximately 3 minutes per side.

Feel free to add maple syrup and/or butter to top these off. Enjoy!

Chicken Wings - B

Chicken wings are a great snack, always. You can make it complicated, but it doesn't have to be.

First off, there are two ways to do this. I usually go for the first option.

hungry, eating

Option 1:

Buy precooked chicken wings, usually with some marinade already on them. Follow package instructions to get perfectly average chicken wings.

These taste great! If you want to level it up, go for option 2.

Option 2:

Our second option is oven-fried wings combined with a dip of your choosing. I use TheCookieRookie recipe because it is not overly complicated and lets me relax while cooking.

The most important part of getting these wings to taste and feel high-end is to buy good quality chicken. There are big differences in quality, especially with chicken, so make sure to rather spend a little more than the minimum.

TheCookieRookie says this makes ten wings, but I've experienced it works well with 20. You can adjust the amount based on how hungry you are.

For this recipe, we will need the following:

  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 tablespoons paprika powder

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 10-20 chicken wings or clubs.

Step 1:

Preheat an oven to 425 f or 220 c. Line a baking sheet with foil and dot the 3 tablespoons of butter evenly across (small pieces dispersed all over).

Step 2:

Combine all your dry ingredients in a bowl. (flour, paprika, garlic, pepper, and salt)

Step 3:

Coat all wings evenly with your dry mix. I do it as simply as possible. I toss all my wings into the bowl and mix using my hands. When they have a uniform coating, I put them on the baking sheet, ensuring the butter and wings are evenly spaced.

Step 4:

Bake wings for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes have passed, flip them and bake for 15 additional minutes or until crispy and fully cooked. WE DON'T EAT RAW CHICKEN!

Now serve with some fresh parsley and dipping sauce. You can make your own, but for simplicities sake, I recommend buying pre-made.

Some of my favorites are:

  • BBQ sauce

  • Blue cheese dip

  • sweet and sour sip

  • and Garlic dip

Homemade Sweet Potato Fries - A

These are premium stoner snacks. You might have tried Mcdonalds' version of sweet potato fries, but these are so much better. You should try these at least once. If not, you're missing out.

First of all. Seasoning these fries is a matter of preference. The recipe I will be using today is from SimplyRecipes. They recommend a mix or just one of these spices.

  • Chipotle powder

  • Smoked Paprika

  • Chinese five-spice

  • Pumpkin pie spice

  • Garam Masala

  • and Cajun Seasoning

You don't need these. You could use your own favorite spices. These are just the recommended ones.

The essential ingredients are:

  • 3 large sweet potatoes (2 pounds)

  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

  • 1 - 2 tablespoons spice (mix or single spice)

Starting off, preheat the oven to 450 f. you can pump this all the way to 500 f for a crispier fry.

After preheating, we want to slice our potatoes into thick-cut fries, 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick. If you want to keep the peel, by all means, do it. Just make sure to wash them properly. You could also remove the skin completely.

Add your fries to a bowl or a zip-lock bag and add oil. Mix these two thoroughly before adding spices and salt. Continue mixing to ensure all fries have oil and spices on all sides.

Add your fries to an oven-safe roasting pan spaced evenly. There should be some breathing room between each piece.

Now bake for 15-25 minutes, depending on the heat in your oven and the thickness of your fries. Optionally, use an air fryer. NatashasKitchen has it at 400 f for 8 minutes or side. 16 minutes in total. You work perfectly half-baked. These do not work perfectly half-baked.

Flip using tongs after about 10 minutes and continue cooking until ready. The darker they are, the crispier. However, the line between dark and burnt is a short one. Pay close attention.

After you take them out of the oven, salt to taste immediately and wait 5 minutes for serving. I recommend serving it with ketchup.

Cereal

Cereals are super simple, taste great, and it's ready to eat in under 5 minutes.

Frosted Flakes - E

Taste great, but there is a lot of sugar. Better keep this to one portion.

No Added Sugar Muesli - A

This stuff is healthy. Contains a delightful mixture of grains, nuts, and fruits. This is not that sweet and might not fill your sugary needs. This will, however, give you long-lasting energy.

Corn Flakes - B

It's like frosted flakes but with no sugar coating. Taste much better if you add a jam spoon to your bowl and mix. Your milk will taste like jam.

Chocolate Cereals - E

THESE ARE SO FRICKIN GOOD but so bad for you. Treat yourself once in a while, but don't eat this every day. Even if it's one of the best munchies, you know.

Bagged Snacks

Popcorn - A

Popcorn is actually a super healthy snack. The only thing to keep in mind is not to add too much butter or salt. This will make it less healthy. They are probably like a C-tier type of munchies.

Pop Tarts - E

Not healthy, but super delicious.

Onion Rings - E

Again, not healthy, but super delicious.

Cheez-Its - E

Again, again, again, not healthy, but super delicious.

Hot Cheetos - E

If you like hot Cheetos, normal Cheetos are also super delicious.

Cinnamon Rolls - E

Cinnamon Rolls are super delicious. These also come in 2 options. Store-bought or homemade. Typically, the store-bought variants are exceptionally average. They are still super tasty and will come in handy when the munchies hit, but they don't beat homemade.

Today I will use the AmbitiousKitchen recipe. Keep in mind that baking is an art form, and things turn out well if you follow instructions precisely. No cutting corners here. However, AmbitiousKitchen makes this recipe harder than it needs to be, so I will dumb it down for myself and you guys.

The ingredients we need for the dough are:

  • 3/4 cup milk

  • 3 teaspoons quick-rise or active yeast

  • 1/4 cup white sugar

  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  • 3 cups flour + more for dusting

  • 1 teaspoon salt

The ingredients we need for the filling are:

  • 2/3 cup dark brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

The cream cheese frosting is optional. I don't like it, as it overpowers every other flavor, but feel free to use it. This can be made at any time. Just spread it across the buns when they have cooled down a bit.

  • 4 oz cream cheese

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

To make the cream cheese frosting, combine thoroughly. This also applies to the filling. Mix all ingredients, and you're done.

For the dough. Step 1:

Warm milk until its body temp, and feel with your finger. DON'T MAKE IT TOO HOT. Mix the milk with the yeast, sugar, egg, egg yolk, and melted butter. You could also let the butter get a little colder than hot before you add it.

Step 2:

Stir in the flour and salt to the wet mixture. And knead for 10 minutes or 8 minutes if you have a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment. It should be a little sticky when done. If it's very sticky, add a little flour (1-2 tablespoons).

Step 3:

Transfer the dough ball to a well-oiled bowl and cover it with a rag or plastic wrap. Let it sit in a warm environment until doubled. Approximately 1 hour.

Step 4:

Transfer the dough ball to a floured work surface and roll it to a 14x9-inch rectangle. After this, spread the filling evenly on the entire thing. Tightly roll the rectangle to a tube shape from the 9-inch side.

Step 5:

cut into 1-inch thick pieces, and you should get nine rolls. Place these in a 9x9 inch baking pan and rest for 30 minutes. Heat oven to 350 f after about 15 mins.

Step 6:

Bake for 20-25 minutes or slightly brown. Take them out and let them cool for 5-10 mins.

ENJOY!

The Nr 1 Best Pizza - C

For real, buy frozen pre-made pizza. There are several options out there that are super good. Just make sure not to get the cheapest option. Making your own pizza dough is easy, but making good pizza dough is complicated and requires practice.

food, eat

Instead of making your own pizza from scratch, try to level it up by adding to the pre-made one. I really like to add these ingredients (not all of them at once):

  • Blue cheese curds

  • Ground beef

  • Nachos

  • Parmesan Cheese curds

  • Pineapple (fresh fruit on pizza is debatable, but I like it.)

  • Pine Nuts

This truly makes for a delicious late night, eat while high deliciousness.

Ice Creams

Ice cream is a creamy dream while stoned.

Vanilla Ice Cream with Maple Syrup - E

Classic nice vanilla ice cream. Try to add maple syrup, chocolate syrup, or any topping of your choice. This really elevates it.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough - E

Raw cookie dough in ice cream with chocolate chips. This is one of the best foods or types of ice cream, in my opinion. If you find one with dark chocolate, go for that. The

Any Ice Cream You prefer - E

Any ice cream you like is good with almost any toppings.

Pancakes

Box pancakes work super nicely. But I make my own using BBC's recipe. With a few twists of my own.

To make these delicious mouth-melting pancakes, we are going to need the following:

  • 4 3/4 oz flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 4 1/2 oz milk

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

In one bowl, mix all your dry ingredients. That would be the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

In another bowl, mix all your wet ingredients. The milk, egg, and melted butter.

Add all your wets to your dries and mix with a fork. Do not mix it too much, as this will make your pancakes tougher than they need to be. Lumps are OK. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes after mixing.

Heat a skillet to medium heat and melt some butter. When it's completely melted, add a ladle or two to your pan and let sit completely untouched until several bubbles appear on top. Flip only once and let sit approximately the same time on the other side.

This is one of the best snacks I know. I'll never stop making these. Personally, I top them with maple syrup or ham and cheese. Ham and cheese work great for balancing out the sweetness.

This was it!

I hope all of you cotton-mouth cannabis users enjoy my recommendations on the best stoner snacks. Remember to not always go for the unhealthiest of foods and not to eat too much in one sitting. Healthy snacks or healthier alternatives are great as well.

Eating great foods is a blessing. Learn to master it! Make a grocery list right now and get going. Good Luck!
