Every year, new strains of cannabis hit the shelves, and you (the customer) want to know which ones are worth trying first for different settings and moods. I gathered a list for almost any occasion with both new and old strains.

If you struggle with overeating, I can't recommend this cannabis strain. It's called Peanut Butter Breath for a reason.

Blue Alien

Super Silver Haze

One of my personal favorites. This great strain has been around for a long time, but many haven't yet discovered its awesome effects.

Although Super Silver Haze isn't extremely potent, it has the ability to make your body feel bright, light and make you ready to fight. Not literally fight, but conquer anything. it has a thc level of about 20%.

It is used a lot to deal with depression symptoms and can get your appetite going. Remember that all strains that can be used to treat illnesses can be smoked for pure joy as well.

Blue Dream

Blue Dream is one of the more chill strains I know. At 18% THC content, you wouldn't expect it to kick. I'll let you know; it doesn't. That's a good thing. The low CBD concentration makes the high more potent, but not to the point where you feel overpowered.

This Hybrid strain is known both by veterans and noobies. All enjoy the mellow berry flavor combined with the relaxing effects.

The reason Blue Dream is so popular is that it is widely available. It is known to help with nausea, chronic pain, depression, and anxiety. One of the reasons this strain works so well is the longevity of the high.

Purple Punch

Purple Punch is what happens when Granddaddy Purple and Larry OG get together and make "kids". This powerful indica hybrid strain 80/20 should not be overlooked.

It has 20% THC and low CBD. Users describe the flavor profile as a forest blueberry with a subtle grape aroma.

Northern Lights

Northern Lights is one of the best cannabis strains for late nights. It is designed to relax your muscles and relieve the mind.

Folks with a medical marijuana card often use this strain for treating depression, insomnia, stress, and chronic pain. Multiple sclerosis patients, for example. It is known by many as a two-hitter and quitter strain as it will leave you stranded in a lazy mode without dosing too heavily.

One of the top cannabis strains for energizing. It's a cross between one of my personal best weed strains; Super Silver Haze and Lemon Skunk.

Super Lemon Haze will leave you feeling ENERGETIC, UPLIFTED, and CREATIVE. So many use it for their wake'n bake. Choosing the right weed strains in the morning can either make or break your day. It is not random.

OG Kush

Also known as Premium OG Kush. This is one of the best weed strains out there, and history will prove it. Cultivated in the '90s when a strain from Northern Cali crossed with Lemon Thai, Chemdog, and a Hindu Kush plant (cannabis plant) from Amsterdam.

It is loved and worshipped in the cannabis industry, still being one of the most popular strains today, 30 years of age, still going strong.

Users love this marijuana strain for its effects. You can expect both the body and mind to experience euphoria and relaxation. Best enjoyed in the latter half of your day.

The effects are mixed, but most agree that it leaves you hungry, sleepy, and euphoric. The name OG kush kind of stands for Original Gangster Kush, so you know it's good.

Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies

Jack Herer or Premium Jack is a sativa dominant hybrid. It holds historical value as well. It is named after a lifelong cannabis activist "Jack Herer". His book The Emperor Wears No Clothes is still influential in the fight for legalization.

The exact genetic mix is a guarded secret, but some believe it to be a cross between Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk.

This is one of the weed strains that will leave you feeling focused and creative.

Medical uses include treating depression, anxiety, and a loss of appetite. Its THC content is varied between 15 and 24% THC.

Sour Diesel

Apple fritter is a true hybrid. Not confirmed, but it is believed to be a cross between Sour Apple and Animal Cookies.

This particular strain is so popular because it provides a really stoned feeling as well as a burst of pure energy.

You can expect a relaxed vibe, you may even end up with a low-key laughter vibe. I mean, who wouldn't, after a taste of apple pastry.
